COMPANY PHILOSOPHY The central theme of the Edgewood Management LLC philosophy is as follows: portfolios constructed with the equities of companies which possess fundamentally strong market positions in growing industries, exceptional earnings power, consistency of earnings performance, and competent management will result in superior market performance over economic cycles. The philosophy recognizes that there exists a relatively limited number of companies that capture these characteristics. Consequently, diligent fundamental research and analysis is required to assess those companies optimally positioned. Construction of portfolios is relatively concentrated with approximately 20-25 companies. Low portfolio turnover is inherent within the philosophy as the companies reflected in the portfolios have historically maintained or strengthened their underlying fundamentals.
